In July 2026, we\u2019re continuing to support environmental projects around the world through our eco-project partner Ecologi. This month we\u2019re spotlighting two initiatives in Brazil: Project 1, focused on conserving the Amazon, and Project 2, focused on restoring degraded land in the Atlantic Forest region.<\/p>\n

Project 1: conserving the Amazon in Brazil<\/b><\/p>\n

The Amazon rainforest is one of the most important ecosystems on the planet, storing vast amounts of carbon, regulating rainfall patterns, and supporting extraordinary biodiversity. Although there was a decline in the Brazilian deforestation rate from 2004 to 2012, recent years have witnessed a concerning resurgence in these figures, putting additional pressure on habitats, indigenous communities, and the wider climate.<\/p>\n

Conservation projects in the Amazon typically focus on protecting high-risk areas, strengthening local monitoring, and supporting sustainable livelihoods that reduce the economic drivers of forest loss. By helping fund verified initiatives through Ecologi, we\u2019re contributing to practical, on-the-ground action that aims to keep existing forests standing, because avoiding deforestation is one of the most effective ways to prevent emissions before they happen.<\/p>\n

Project 2: restoring degraded land in Brazil<\/b><\/p>\n

Brazil\u2019s Atlantic Forest is a global biodiversity hotspot, home to over 23,000 plant species, 40% of which are endemic to the Atlantic Forest. A third of those species cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Despite its ecological importance, large areas have been degraded over time by land conversion and fragmentation, leaving wildlife corridors broken and soils less resilient.<\/p>\n

Restoration projects help reverse this damage by re-establishing native vegetation, improving soil health, and creating connected habitats that allow species to thrive. Beyond biodiversity, restoring degraded land can support local communities through more stable ecosystems, improved water regulation, and landscapes that are better able to cope with extreme weather.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re proud to have funded the planting of 4787 trees since the start of our partnership with Ecologi over 5 years.<\/p>\n
