The WordPress team’s recent work has massively paid off with their latest update – 4.3.
The latest release has been nicknamed “Billie” in honour of jazz singer Billie Holiday, it’s available for download or update in the usual way and offers a wealth of new features:
- Menus in the Customizer
- Formatting shortcuts
- Much better system for working with site icons
- Secure password generation
- Comments are switched off for new pages that you add, with the aim of keeping comments to blog posts
It’s recommended that you update your WordPress installation wherever your templates, plugins and any custom code allow. Take a backup and be sure that everything will be compatible before you update, and make sure that any custom code is transferred to your new installation where needed.
