It’s Earth Day 2022! Earth Day has been going since 1970 – it’s an annual event to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
Here at Enbecom, we have a strong sense of responsibility to our clients – and the planet. That’s why, for a year so far, we’ve been planting trees – at home and abroad – as well as taking a “climate positive” approach to the operation of the business. We work with Ecologi to offset our carbon emissions by supporting climate projects, including tree planting.
Here’s what we’re doing:
Planting trees
We plant a number of trees on our own initiative, sometimes in large groups. These trees can be in the UK – where our contributions support local reforestation projects – or overseas.
We hope that our clients would like to be a part of this journey too so, when selected hosting plans are started or renewed – and when selected invoices are paid – we add a tree to our forest (our virtual collection of real trees around the world). We do the virtual side of the planting with reference to our clients’ names, although for privacy we only use initials. We send our clients an email to let them know each time a tree is planted, with a link to view the new tree in the forest. Clients can out of those emails but we hope they would want to see the difference they’re helping to make.
CO2 offsetting
We also fund carbon offsetting directly. This provides an offset against travel and other consumption, although as a business operating mainly virtually, our footprint is already on the low side.
New for Earth Day 2022
This Earth Day, we’re pleased to announce that it’s not just about trees any more! We’re glad to say that, through our partner Ecologi, as well as funding tree planting at home and abroad we are also contributing to a number of eco-friendly initiatives around the world such as:
- Preserving Amazonian rainforest
- Wind power development
- Solar power
- Biomass electricity
- Improving the efficiency of metro transport
- Hydropower

Trees for reviews
Another announcement for this Earth Day is that we will be planting a tree each time we receive a review from a client on our Trustpilot and Google review pages. If someone is kind enough to leave a review on both sites, we’ll plant two trees.
